005 A Small Thatched Cot house on the Farm of Little Leight, now in bad repair the old line of road from Stranraer to Ballantrae, passes by the East end of it before the Present new line of Road was made between the places named This was A Public House Licenced for the retail of Spirituous Liquors and was Known by the Sign of the Lochnaw Arms (A lion) and was Kept by A. Mrs. Ross for many Years. previous to the changing of line of road. there was then a Small portion of ground attached to it but is now annexed to the farm of Little Leight , its Situation is about 7 miles N.W. [North West] of the Town of Stranraer & is the property of Sir Alexander of Loch Ryan House
