017.12 A plain Substantial building in the Village of Bannockburn opposite to the Free Church Manse, the School and teachers dwelling are attached the former is only one Story the latter two all in Very good repair and Slated attached is a Small playground, it was built and endowed by the late James Wilson Esqr Manufacturer of Bannockburn. His endowment was £3000 added to about £1500 from a Sister of his; it is under no religious denomination but under the management of Trustees who has not accepted of Government aid the School is taught by three teachers one male for the boys, two females one for the Girls the other for the industrial Work a general Course is taught it is well Supplied with maps &c. there is about 50 pupils taught gratuitously - the charges are very low built in 1845. Average attendance about 155
