017.04 Situated on the south bank of the Forth a cotton spinning mill. There is no weaving carried on here: only the spinning of all Kinds of cotton thread. 017.04 Applied to a portion of the North bank of the Forth, extending from the steamboat jetty to Forthbank Chemical Works. Vessels of seventy tons burden come up to this at high water of spring tides, which rise about four feet over the ordinary depth of the river.
