028.08 A fine stream rising near the "Garrel Hill", It pursues a circuitous and rugged course, till it reaches "Garrel Mill" when, nearly all its water is led by means of an artificial lade to the Canal Co's [Companies] Reservoir at Townhead. When passing through the village of Kilsyth its course is almost dry. It falls into the Kelvin about ½ a mile south of Dumbreck.
