028.04 A well known name applied to a waterfall of more than 50 feet in height on the "Garrel Burn", It is formed by a semicircular precipice of rock about 8 chains in length which extends on both sides of the stream, It is traditionally believed that one of the former proprietors of the Estate committed Suicide by throwing himself over this place, which act gave rise to the name.
