It contains a church, (Quoad Sacra) a school, a Post Office, & nine public house, and a population of upwards of a thousand inhabitants. The people are chiefly employed in the manufacture of nails, and in the public works in the neighbourhood. The houses are mostly one storey and chiefly tiled, a good many of which are in bad repair. The property of various individuals. |
