030.02 So called from being made during the reign of Emperior Antoninus Pius about the year 140. It is known also by the name of Graham's Dyke, the etymology of which is not correctly known, but is supposed to refer to one Grimus or Gryme who lived in the tenth century and who aspiring to royal honors raised a considerable army and marched against Malcolm the Second, but an amicable accommodation being come to in which it was agreed that the Wall should form the boundary between their respective territories, it ever after
