030.01 A double line of railway extending from Greenhill Junction where it is joined to the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway, to Perth. It forms the greant line of communication between the capital of the West, and the North of Scotland. Its whole length is 45 miles and the prevailing gradient in its course through the parish is 1 in 100. and 1 in 300. It was opened for passengers and traffic in 1847. Property of a Company of Shareholders Offices, Perth.
