020.11 An eminence on the farm of Finnich Drummond, which. the Authorities here quoted, believe it to be the site of a Church, from the fact, that a number of years ago when it as trenched and planted, there were raised several human bones and the foundation of an old building. The ground within the track of the old Fence would indicate that it has been artificially wrought as it seems much richer than that surrounding it.
"Drumakill, beside Spittal, is by some supposed to have been the site of the old Church. which however would seem to have been situated at Knockinhaglish, on the lands of Finnich Drummond, in the neighbourhood there is a remarkable well called St. Vildrin's Well, perhaps a corruption of St Vininus to whom Kilwinning was dedicated"
