021.14 This hill stands south-east of the "Little Earl" between it & " Dumbreck". It is the highest of the three on this part of the By. [Boundary] which is the watershed of the hills. Owsen is thought to be a corruption of Oxen, but the latter would not be recognised. The half distance between the top & bottom of this hill is shewn.
