027 A well known hill feature on the Boundary of the Parish which is the water shed from here to the "Earl's Seat." Dumbreck is not quite so high as "Owsen Hill" (21.13). It is oblong on the top as it lays on the By. [Boundary] but its appearance is round towards the middle and bottom. The half distance between the top and bottom is shewn on the Examination Trace. It is always used as "Dumbreck" alone.

027 A large whin stone on the brow of that part of the Campsie Fells which extend westwards into Strathblane Parish and forms a deep ravine or Glen to "Fin Glen" on its east side. The name is known throughout the Parish. It is said to be a corruption of Clayarthur, but the way it is
