032.04 A little village at the southern extremity of the Parish 6 miles from Glasgow. It is a Post Town, besides which there is a Side school of the Parish, an Inn (Trace 3. 32-8) and a couple of Smithies. The population is composed of weavers & agricultural labourers. There is a T.P. [Turn Pike] Gate near the southern extremity of the village. The name applies from "Robertson's Inn" to the houses north of the School near "Law".
