028.14 | A little village, the houses of which are much scattered, on the T.P. [Turn Pike] Road between Kilsyth and Lennoxtown. There is a Station here on the Campsie Branch Railway, a School, a Post Office, a good Mill for Corn & Flour, and a Smithy. The village and its neighborhood are much supported by the "Kincaid Print Works", which, however, have not been wrought for about 13 months. The Glazert divides two properties here - the one on the north side belonging to Glorat Estate, and the south to Kincaid. The name applies to all the houses immediately [continued on page 138] |
