028.09 An enclosure of rough & broken ground, on the Estate of Bencloich on the northern extremity of which stands an ancient Caledonian Fort at the foot of the steep hills or fells of Campsie. The Ferrets enclosure has been wrought all over for limestone. The name is particularly well known in connexion with the Caledonian Fort.
