020.01 A private Bridge of Wood suspended by chains over the Endrick on one of the avenues leading to Buchanan Castle. There is a Lodge house on the Kilmaronock side of the water near the Bridge, and there is a gate on the Bridge on that side also.

020.01 A wood, chiefly of tall elms, east of the Avenue road which crosses the Suspension Br. [Bridge]. Part of the wood is mixed with fir Trees. It is well known and used simply as "Meikle Moss", Wood being understood, & considered to interfere in some measure with the established custom if adopted.
