014.14 An extensive oak wood having some fir trees planted amongst it between Buchanan Smithy and Ballyconachy Loan (Trace 5) and extending southwards to "Katy Bairdy's Well" or about there. The remainder of this wood, extending southwards to the Castle & garden of Buchanan, is generally understood or referred to by the name Katy Bairdy's Well, & this name is also used to the walk passing the well. It will serve the purpose of the name sufficiently by retaining the name to the well alone.
