054 Situated on the watershed at the S.E. [South East] end of "Hometown Wilse," and about 1/4 of a mile S.W. [South West] of "Mornington". It was erected in 1864 and contains 100 sittings, It is called Baxter chapel through respect for Mr Baxter of Elangowan near Dundee, on account of his having contributed £30 towards its erection. It is supported and the salary of the preacher paid partly by the Congregational Union of Scotland, and partly, by voluntary contribution of Mr Douglas of Cavers.
