022.15 This name applies to a little rocky knoll on the west side of which there are appearances of a few stones having been quarried.
There is a tradition in the neighbourhood regarding this place 'and one which is firmly believed in' that in the Year 1795. the tenant who then lived on this ground repaired to this rock to have some stones quarried for the purpose of building or enlarging his premises. On the night of the first days work he dreamed that he must not go back or take any more stones from the quarry, he paid no attention to the dream further than informing three other men that were assisting him and
overplease.
