047.12 This object was discovered, close to the angle of an old bank situated about 25 Chains N. N. W. [North North West] of the Manse of Sandsting, by the late Revd. [Reverend] John Bryden, minister, and is one of two urns referred to by him, in page 112 of the "New Statistical Account of Scotland", as follows Viz:- "I have discovered two other urns on the glebe, filled with a black unctuous earth, but so much decayed, that no part of them could be lifted",
