017.05 A very small and inconsiderable stream, having its source among the neighbouring hills and joining the Halter burn near Halterburn the Correct pronunciation of this name is rather uncertain and involves a little doubt. the only person I have been able to find by whom the stream is kKown is the Shepherd and he certainly pronounces it Witchcliffe.
