006.10 A good farm house two stories high with suitable and convenient officehouses, a Thrashing and Cutting Machine with water and steam power. Attached is a vegetable and fruit garden and an extensive arable farm also a number of very good cottages occupied by the men employed on the farm , each having a vegetable garden and pig sty. The whole are situated on the South Side of the River Tweed about one mile east from Sprouston, the name is supposed to be derived from Reddenhaugh which extends along the south bank of the River Tweed in the North side of the farm, but the origin of neither names cannot be accurately ascertained. It is occupied and rented by William Hutchinson who is also a very extensive general Contractor, proprietor James Innes Ker Duke of Roxburgh.
