History of Kelso
Mr. Broomfield
009.04 A long street extending from the square or Market Place to the N.W. [North West] end of Bowmont Street close to the entrance of Floors Demesne. Some of the Houses and shops are of a superior character and others duly middling. The town's authorities did away with all these lesser names and adopted the two general names of Roxburgh St. and Bowmont St.
