003.14; 003.15 This Burial Ground, is Situated in the N. [North] Side of "Highbuckholm Side," And W. [West] Side of "Ladhope Bank." It was, (the ground) purchased about 15 years ago, by the trustees of the "Melrose" Quoad Sacra Church in Galashiels. It is in two divisions, the western portion being an addition to the original burying ground. It is the property of Trustees, of whom one is Mr. John Hall, Builder &c. Galashiels.

And bears the name from the North British Railway on the east to opposite "Comely Bank" on west, or as far as the Houses extend at present on the north Side; the houses are chiefly of good Construction, And on the north side (where the principal part of the houses are Situated) Stand a short distance back off the line of roadway And all having Small gardens attached nearly the whole of this property is feued of Admiral Pringle, Torwoodlee.
