066 | This is the remains of the Ancient parish Church of Kirkmichael of which only the two gables and a small portion of each of the side walls remain; part of the center has been repaired and roofed, and is now used as a place of sepulture by the Munros of Pontzfield family It is upwards of a hundred years since it ceased to be used for religious purposes, The present Ruin was the ancient Roman Catholic Chapel, which was dedicated to Saint Michael and in which an Episcopalian Minister officiated for some time previous to it becoming a Presbyterian Church |
