(Descriptive Remarks)
The parish of Kintail is in the Presbytery of Lochcarron, Synod of Glenelg. It is bounded on the east by the parish of Kilmorack in the County of Inverness; on the north by the parish of Lochalsh; on the west by Loch Long and Loch Duich, the former loch separates this parish from the parish of Lochalsh, and the latter loch separates it from the parish of Glenshiel; and on the south it is bounded by the parish of Glenshiel
