086; 087; 088; 096; 097 A valley extending in a westerly direction from Brahan Castle & Highfield House for a distance of about 23 miles. It is watered by the "River Meig" & River Conon. It is of considerable width and cultivated from Brahan Castle to Muirton Mains, It then becomes very narrow and wooded until your reach Scatwell House, where it again widens out a little & us cultivated but only for a short distance. From Scatwell the valley again becomes very narrow and inclines southerly. It is covered with heathy pasture until reaching Strath Conon from where it becomes more of a plain & is cultivated as far as Dalbreac Lodge. The remainder of the valley is narrow and covered with heathy pasture.
