AN DÙN (Site of Supposed Pictish Fort) [Doune] An Dùn (Site of Supposed Pictish Fort) Mr William McKay, Kilmachalmack. 011 Situated at the small hamlet of Doune in Strath OyKel. The stones have altogether been removed for building and other purposes except a part of the base which is grown over and now resembles the rocky ground around. It has been erected on the summit of a small Knoll. Supposed to have been a Pictish Fort but no further information could be got.
