It is bounded on the north by the parish of Fearn, on the East by the Moray Firth, on the West by Logie Easter and Kilmuir Easter and on the South by Cromarty Firth. The parish of Nigg is situated in the County of Ross and contains about 8705 statute acres., the Parish Church is situated near the centre of the parish. There are no detached portions of the parish of Nigg in this or any other County, neither are there detached portions of any other parish within its limits. The soil of the arable land consists in a great measure of fine black loam incumbent on red sandstone. |
