It is situated about four miles north west of the village of Beauly on a sort of ridge or watershed which extends from the Muir of Ord in an easterly direction through the Black Isle. Each house in the district is one storey in height thatched and in middling repair.With the exceptions of a few small patches of Rough pastures the whole of the district is cultivated and yields a fair crop.
