DINGWALL [town] [continued from page 1] erections as also the County Buildings, Prison, and Police Office, which form a group on the right handside of the Highland Railway at the east end of the town. Besides a fortnightly corn market held here there are 7 fairs annually for the sale of cattle and agricultural produce. There is no regular Stance in or at the town - business is transacted in the Streets and on the road near the parish Church. The Burgh of Dingwall is combined with the Burghs of Cromarty, Dornoch, Kirkwall, Tain, & Wick to return one Member to serve in Parliament.
