088 A monument in the form of an obelisk situated at the north end of the town of Dingwall on an artificial Mound of considerable extent. It rises to a height of 57 feet. and is 6 feet square at the base. It was erected by George first earl of Cromarty and was intended to ornament the spot which he designed to be the family burying place.
