The parish of Urray is in the Presbytery of Dingwall, Synod of Ross it is in three separate parts two of which are detached.
The principal part contains the parish Church & is bounded on the south by the Beauly Firth and the parish of Kilmorack in the County of Inverness; on the east by the parishes of Kiltearn Urquhart and Logie Wester, and Fodderty (Detd [Detached] No.2) in Ross-shire; on the north east by the parish of Dingwall; on the north by the parish of Fodderty (Proper) in the County (Detd [Detached]) and Contin parish in Ross-shire; and on the west by the parish of Fodderty (Detd [Detached] No.1) in Ross-shire, and Kilmorack Ph [Parish] in the County of Inverness. A small portion of this part lies between the turnpike road and the River Beauly, which portion is in the County of Inverness.
The detached part No.1 of Urray parish is locally situated between the parish of Contin and the extreme north end of the parish of Fodderty Detached No. 1. This portion lies wholly in the 9th Division work.
The detached part No. 2 is bounded on the north and north east by the parish of Contin; on the west by a small portiion of the parishes of Lochcarron & Lochalsh; on the south partly by Lochalsh Ph [Parish] and the parish of Kilmorack in the County of Inverness; and on the east by the parish of Kilmorack.
There are no detached portions of any other parish situated within the parish of Urray.
