[Situation] Forms the northern extremity of the town of Stornoway
A long irregular street commencing from its junction with Cromwell Street and Kenneth Street running north for a considerable distance as far as the tide flows, the houses nearist the town have a tolerably neat appearance and are from one to two stories in height and are generally in good repair further north they begin to have a miserable appearance and have more the character of huts, this name also applies to a number of dirty huts at the head of the town where the road striks off to Harris and Barvas.
