Statistical Acct of Ross and Cromarty by the respective Ministers of Parishes		 027 A parish situated on the South East of Lewis On the north and West it is bounded by the parish of Barvas and the district of Ness on the East and North East by the Channel between Lewis and the mainland called the Minch. On the South by the Parish of Lochs and on the west by the Parish of Uig It has derived this name from the point of land on which the Town of Stornoway is situated Stron signifies nose Bagh signifies Bay Stron a Bhaigh signifies the Nose of the Bay
