A small but rapid river, which runs in a Westerly direction, through a valley. The pasture is green on both sides of the river.

005 [situation] On the sea shore in the South W. [West] section of the plan, 40 chains W. [West] of Mealabost village.
A large extent of shore, which is dry at spring tides. It is composed of shelving rock, bowlders, and shingle. Its extent is about 13 chains by 10 chains, and it is the only stretch along the shore at which boats can land for miles on either side. Signifies Coast.
