The ruins of what is supposed to have been an old Castle which is at present scarcely traceable. It is said to have been formerly enclosed by a deep & broad ditch over which was a drawbridge and that it was Surrounded by a deep and almost impassable marsh, which rendered it a place of considerable Security to the sheep stealers who it is said inhabited it.
