003 A village of Considerable size built of stone and peat and thatched with straw, and situated between Lionol and Suainbost, from the first of which it is separated by Allt Leurdail, and from the other by Amhuinn Shuainabost. There is a large tract of the best land in Lewis attached to this village, and still the people and their Huts are as wretched and uncomfortable in appearance as can well be imagined.
