The Sea beats against them with great force which renders it a matter of difficulty to land on them. Signifies Dell Rock.

It receives its name at the junction of the above mentioned stream with two others which flow from the moors and Loch Drollabhat. There are the ruins of a few Corn Mills on it.

There is a manse attached to it.

It Contains the Ruins of one of those circular old Castles so frequently met with in Lewis which appears to have been built of small unhewn stones - no portion of the wall can be traced at present but the Site is Covered by the small stones alluded to. The natives are unable to give any information as to its antiquity or use. It appears to have been about 50 feet in diameter and to have been Entered by a Causeway.
