015.01 | A strong stone building supports and protects a large waterwheel which is used to assist in the clearing of the water from Barr Loch. A stream of water brought from the Dam turns this wheel. The stream when it leaves the planting (see trace) flows along a wooden conduit which is supported by high and strong pillars of stone work, and at the end of which the large wheel is fixed. it was constructed at Col: [Colonel] McDowall's expense.
