011.07 This school is connected with the Estab. [Established] Church; the children chiefly of those belonging to that persuation attend it. The Master receives his sallary out of the funds. In connection with the school house on the west side of it, is a square Steeple with a spire, having a bell with a Public Clock. The dial plate is on the west side facing "The Cross". Between the Base and the top of the said Steeple, about mid way, under the "Dial Plate", there is a niche wherein the Statue of "Habie Simson" is placed the once famed piper of Kilbarchan.
