The parish stretches from east to
west, inclining southward, in the form
of an irregular oblong. the eastern being
considerably broader than the Western
extremity. Its length, between the extreme
points, is about 7 miles, and its
average breadth from 2 to 3 miles.
It is bounded on the north by The
River Clyde; on the west by the parish of
Kilmacolm; on the South by the parish
of Houston and a narrow stripe of the
parish of Kilbarchan; and on the east
by the parish of Inchinnan.
