008.14 This apparently Artificial Mound is about 5 chains East of the Turnpike Road from Paisley to Renfrew And is named by Many of the inhabitants Queen Blearie's Mound. the more intelligent persons in the Neighborhood Consider it a Mound formed from the debris or refuse from a quarry a little South of it, but from its appearance and Careful preservation it is more than probable that its origin Meant it to perpetuate Something of more Consequence than the refuse of a quarry.
