[Note beside 'Camp'] - The Examiner's attention having been drawn to the omission of this object (which I noticed shown on the County Map) their descriptive remarks are the consequence.
I do not believe it to be a Camp at all, but natural ground banks formed by the action of water, of which where are numerous examples about Callander including the Dounan Camp there so called and the banks at Bochastle. [Signed] J. Bayly Lt. Col. R.E. [Lieutenant Colonel Royal Engineers]
