107 "In this parish, there is still a place in the village called the Ward, where the chief of the strath distributed justice to his vassals." Stat [Statistical] Account
The name is applied to a part of the village of Muthill, consisting of a number of houses and a small strip of common. The houses are chiefly two storeys, slated, and in good repair; the common is used as a washing green, each of the inhabitants of the Village having an equal right to it.
