094 | A large river which flows out of Loch Earn, and running eastward in a course of beautiful curves falls into the Tay near the village of Caerpon in the parish of Abernethy. The course of the Earn is upwards of 30 miles in length. Its principal tributaries are the Ruchill, Lednock and Moy. It is navigable as far as the Bridge of Earn, in the parish of Dunbarnie for vessels of from 30 to 50 tons burden. |
