088 | [Situation] About 20 Chains NE [North East] of Castlehuntly. A plain circular pillar about 20 feet in height surmounted by a Lion. There is not any date or inscription on it. It is situated within the grounds of Huntly Castle where it was conveyed about 70 years since, for the purpose of preserving it, and as an ornament. This was the Market Cross of the now extinct Burgh of Longforgan |
