It is said to be the stone which the Falcon rested which was let off from the Hill of Kinnoull as mentioned in connection with the "Hay Family" and the Battle of Luncarty. Sir J. H. Richardson Bart. [Baronet] of Pitfour has also a Hawkstone in St, Madoes parish connected with the same event. |
