130 ; 131 | A large river which rises at the base of Ben Lomand, and pursuing a tortuous course eastward discharges into the Firth of Forth at Kincardine. During the greater portion of its course it forms the boundary between the counties of Perth and Stirling. It is navigable as far as Stirling for vessels of light tonnage. Owing to the level nature of the country through which it runs, the current is very sluggish. |
