An Obelisk of Solid Masonry on a Small mound on the Summit of Murrayshall Hill, Commanding splendid and extensive Views of the Surrounding Country, including the Grampian & Sidlaw Hills &c It was erected in 1850. It has two Tablets. - on the North one is Cut "An. Dom. [Anno Domini] 1850. 14 Vic. Reg. [Victoria Regina]" on the south is Cut "To the Memory of Thomas Graham Lord Lynedoch, this Obelisk is dedicated" it stands about twenty feet high. |
