Dr. Young - Hallhill Fossaway Ph. [Parish]
127 This is the remains of an old Stone bridge of one arch over the River Devon near Easter Downhill where formerly the direct and only road to Perth by Dunning Crossed the river.
From its construction and narrow breadth it is apparently very old; but it is now much di-
lapidated nothing remaining but just the arch yet it is still passable for foot passengers. It is partly overgrown with furze and brambles, the battlements are all gone down to the Keystones and the outer Circular Course of Stones of one side of the arch are also fallen away.
